The President, Hon. Ranil Wickremesinghe, stated on November 13th 2023, that the Department of Allergy and Immunology, University of Sri Jayawardenepura will be upgraded as the National Institute of Allergy and Immunology. For this purpose, Rs. 40 million will be allocated for the next year as per the work plan to develop laboratories and other required facilities.
